"Alice in Wonderland"

Perhaps something was running through the head of American McGee, when they decide to say "goodbye" to the good old id Software, to move to Electronic Arts ... McGee is one who definitely looks a little strange. If you see him live, you'll probably think that you're doubting the frontman of one alternative group. If you put a little more makeup, it could replace Keith Flint from "Prodigy". Deep shadows under his eyes talking about dozens, even hundreds of sleepless nights spent in front of the monitor on a PC ...

Who the hell was that American McGee, will say and many of you are probably quite right to ask such a thing. Not so many people have heard of it. Only the most obsessive fans of the three-dimensional action will probably figure out that this is one of those responsible for the birth of the legendary Doom and one of the main figures in id Software in recent years. Unfortunately, American McGee has always stood in the shadow of two other giants of the genre - John Romero and John Carmack. However, this does not make it less gaming guru. Maybe that's why the talented programmer chose to choose freedom and defected from the camp of id Software. A little strange but why he sought refuge in a conservative gaming behemoth Electronic Arts, to realize its innovative plans ...

"I have a dream ..."

probably told some time ago American McGee, as well as Martin Luther King and imbecility of commercial of a nasty Bulgarian beer. This dream is quite peculiar. Perhaps she did not particularly enjoy warm reception at id Software. It's quite strange for "Alice in Wonderland". In the imagination of American McGee was born a little warped horror version of the popular children's book. Nobody knows when this obsession has begun to haunt the mind of the gaming guru. It is known only that a few months after the resettlement of McGee in Electronic Arts idea erupts in the form of a brutal three-dimensional action.

The name of the game is American McGee's Alice and it is definitely something that will remain in the history of the gaming industry - if not as the supreme achievement of the genre, at least as something quite different. It is unclear what inspired former programmer of id Software, to turn Alice's adventures in real carnage. Perhaps McGee played too long Doom and Quake. :-) One thing is one hundred percent certain - the author of the original "Alice" Lewis Carroll is currently spinning in his grave. We could probably energized rather large building, if electrical generator hook to his coffin ... :-)

In any case, American McGee's Alice is one of the few more original ideas, faced recently. It combines the gameplay and perspective of games like Tomb Raider, Drakan and perhaps most Heretic 2 with intense action, we know from the classical three-dimensional pataklami of id Software. Well, Alice is not so voluptuous and could hardly compete with Lara Croft or Rin from Draco's anthropometric data, especially with regard to bust and bust. :-) Rather, it looks like a chick from the Victorian era, which fits a little difficult in the current notions of sexiness ...
